Snapchat has rolled out a tool that will let users put an array of special effects on their favorite videos. Speed Modifiers, the latest among the many features released in the previous months, will allow a rewind, fast forward or slow down by swiping the screen sideways after taking the video on Android or iOS.

A month ago, Snapchat was able to acquire a Ukrainian startup called Looksery which specializes in adding some live animated effects to the videos. This tool will help in launching the 'Snapchat lenses', in adding animated arts to selfies, Daily Mail reported. Illustrations are immediately placed fit over the corresponding facial features.

When using the Snapchat Lenses, the users may go to camera screen then switch to selfie camera. When active, the users must press and hold an image of the face and make the lens choices appear below. The users may then swipe through a menu of the possible options to select one and see the preview with effects. To grab an image, the users must click a capture button and take a photo. They may also press and hold this capture button if they wish to record a video.

Snapchat is also expected to make a follow up release of the selfie filters along with the new video filters. Meantime, Snapchat has also included a 3D Touch ability for iPhone 6S Plus and 6S, Latin Times reported.

Snapchat has already updated its app in order to support Apple's 3-D Touch. The latest features have been released on both Android and iOS.
