The 32-year-old rapper, Nicki Minaj, raised hell last Halloween night as she posted an Instagram video of herself dressed in a very revealing fairy costume while waving her golden wand at a seemingly disabled person and commanding her to walk.
The video seems to have been taken backstage of 1 OAK in Las Vegas where Minaj hosted a Halloween party as reported by The Mirror UK. In a jewel-crusted cleavage bearing pink corset, white tutu, a silver crown and a golden wand, the rapper pointed her wand towards a woman in a scooter and told her to walk while laughing loudly with her group of friends.
Instagram users commented negatively towards the video and expressed their criticisms towards the "Super Bass" singer that her action was ignorant and offensive towards a disabled woman. Minaj remarked that it was all a misunderstanding and that the woman was not even disabled, but actually a friend on an electric scooter along the hallway as reported by The Daily Mail UK.
Despite the rapper's efforts in defending her action and proving that it was funny, users have continued to express their negative sentiments towards Minaj's actions and even compared the video to the singer's recent post of Bill Cosby.
The singer posted a picture of a man wearing a Cosby mask while holding a blond woman who seems to be intoxicated with alcohol. Minaj remarked that it was of bad taste by writing in the caption "Our generation is so desensitized." Fans and Instagram users also agreed to this sentiment but likened the taste to Minaj's Halloween joke video.
The "Starships" singer continued to party for Halloween amidst the controversy and has not further explained or brought up the incident. The "Anaconda" hit maker continues to retweet her fans' laughter and jokes about the video but the singer did not directly address the negative comments on social media.
