Powerhouse team Manchester United (6-2-3, 21 points) will play middling squad West Bromwich Albion (4-5-2, 14 points) this November 7th, Saturday at the Old Trafford as the 2015-2016 Premier League season continues.
United had been winless with goalless draws against Manchester City and Crystal Palace during their last two outings in the domestic top flight. They are involved in drawn battles in their Champions League and Capital One Cup affairs as well, which puts Louis van Gaal on red alert on how to improve his team's scoring.
The Red Devils' last match was a 0-0 tie with the Eagles at the Selhurst Park on October 31st, as per Daily Mail Online. Palace actually generated the better chances in the match, but United's defense stood firm amidst the relentless attacks.
Van Gaal's squad had been goalless in their last three matches, including the 120-minute Capital One game versus Middlesbrough, which clearly indicates the team's need for more talent up front that could support Wayne Rooney.
Meanwhile, West Brom had been up-and-down in their last six matches with three wins and three losses. Their last game was a tough 2-3 loss to Leicester City at the Hawthorns also on October 31st, as reported by BBC Sport.
Venezuelan striker Salomón Rondón put the Baggies on the board at the half-hour mark to get the early lead, but the Foxes' Algerian winger Riyad Mahrez answered with a brace at the 57th and 64th. Leicester striker Jamie Vardy added another goal at the 77th to make it 3-1 while West Brom forward Rickie Lambert scored at the 84th with a penalty kick to finalize the count.
United is struggling with goals these days, but they are set to break their drought and find one in this weekend affair with West Brom.
The prediction is a close 1-0 victory for Manchester United.
