She means the world to him and now he decided to show her the world.

Zhu Chunxie sold his company and his house and bought a recreational vehicle (RV) to travel the world along with his 2-year-old daughter, Grace.

The decision came when Zhu, who worked for 10 years in Shanghai, learned that many of his married friends are not able to spend much time with their children because of work, according to China Daily.

Zhu told China Daily that a father figure is “crucial” for a growing child.

Zhu consulted his wife about his plan. He then spent three months planning everything for his intended five-year travel with Grace.

They started their journey in August.

Hailing from Jilin in Northeast China, Zhu is of Korean descent. He put up a communication company and lived in a 100-square-meter house, according to online news portal Sunning View.

Zhu said that staying in an RV is not as comfortable as living in a real house, but said that it would all be worth it.

Zhu now acts as Grace’s teacher since traveling apparently compelled her to stop going to school. The doting father would be up by six in the morning, prepare breakfast, and then wake up his daughter an hour later.

The rest of the day they would spend on the road, stopping every now and then to engage in some father-daughter bonding moments.

They already visited Guangzhou and Shenzhen (Guangdong Province), Guilin (Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region) and Changsha and Yongzhou (Hunan Province).

Their next stops will be Zhangjiajie (Hunan Province), Chongqing in Southwest China, Kunming (Yunnan Province), Guizhou Province, Guangxi and Hainan Province.

Zhu also plans a European trip.

He wrote a letter to Grace saying that they will travel together “to find happiness” and “to find a different approach to education.”
