The Special Victims Unit team investigates a popular reality TV family. According to the synopsis (via Spoilers Guide) for "Law & Order: SVU" Season 17 Episode 7, the team delves deeper into "web of secrets" when a young daughter of Baker family is found to be pregnant. The 13-year-old girl is described as "virtuous daughter" of the famous family of 13 children. It is said a lot of dark secrets come to light during the investigation.
A promo video for "Law & Order: SVU" Season 17 (as obtained by E! Online) teases an interaction between Mariska Hargitay's Lt. Olivia Benson with the young girl Lane Baker in Episode 5 "Patrimonial Burden." "My being pregnant is God's will. I just didn't think God would let it happen until I was married," Lane tells Olivia.
The website notes that "Law & Order: SVU" Season 17 Episode 7 will not exactly imitate the Duggar Family scandal that led to the cancellation of the family's reality TV show. Fans can expect to see some twists.
Speaking about twists, Ice-T, who plays the role of Detective Fin TuTuola told ET Online, that Episode 5 contains "twist." "They can't go directly by the story, or you guys would know how it's gonna end! So, we gotta twist it," the actor said about Duggar Family inspired segment. "They just use it as a starting point of the story," the actor added.
Another promo video teases a conversation between Dodds and Benson. While Dodds walk Benson out of the office, Dodds can be seen apologizing to his boss and talk about his work ethics. Scroll down to watch the promo.
