Chinese actress Fan Bingbing was picked to represent the Asian style in a latest fashion book, "A Journey in Style," proving her status as one of the world's most stylish icons.
Penned by Marie Claire's former fashion and beauty editor, Elizabeth Walker, the book features some of the most fashionable travelers who graced Britain's Heathrow airport through the years. It will also pay tribute to the most stylish outfits and luggage.
For fashion gurus, the styles worn by stars at the airport are regarded as truer representations of their fashion senses. Experts have cited that an icon's travel style is more relatable to the general public's daily lives, compared with the flamboyant dresses and jewelries they flaunt on red carpets.
Fan was the only Chinese star to have been included in the elite global fashion list. She is known for her open attitude toward fashion, and for her bravery in letting her own personality and taste shine through her dresses and garments.
Fan has also been significant in promoting and introducing the Chinese style in the fashion arena with her love of China-inspired red carpet ensemble.
Earlier in August, the 34-year-old actress was also hailed as the fourth highest-paid actress in 2015 by Forbes magazine.
Apart from the Chinese star, the book also features the styles of some iconic Hollywood actresses such as Audrey Hepburn, Marilyn Monroe and Marlene Dietrich, as well as legendry musicians like The Beatles and Mick Jagger, and supermodels Kate Moss and Twiggy.
The book's pages will also be graced by former U.S. first lady Jackie Kennedy Onassis, socialite Kim Kardashian, actress Gwen Stefani, and singer-turned-designer Victoria Beckham.
