A source confirmed that Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani are officially dating and are happy together the night before the 2015 49th CMA Awards. Stefani decided last minute to fly to Nashville to be with Shelton, who is set to perform at the CMA's, and just attend the after-party but not the CMA's.
When asked if Miranda Lambert being at the CMA's was the reason why Gwen is not attending, the source said that Stefani just was not able to get the right clothes for the occasion, since her decision to join Blake was last minute, and it is not because Miranda was there.
Blake and Gwen will no longer hide their relationship tonight and will reportedly even spend a few more days together in Nashville. When asked how long have they been officially dating? The Halloween weekend kicked off the new relationship.
The news that Blake and Gwen are officially dating came out a day before the CMA's. The timing of this revelation can be interpreted as a publicity stunt being that this is the first CMA Awards that Blake would be attending after his divorce with Miranda Lambert was finalized and both would be placed in an awkward situation.
Blake came to the CMA's alone but was reported to have shared the red carpet with his ex. Although there was no interaction between the former couple, the opening monologue of hosts Carrie Underwood and Brad Paisley had to partly be a joke about Blake and Miranda's breakup.
