I Blucerchiati's 28-year-old Italian forward Éder scored the opening goal right at the 8th minute of the first half with a right-footed shot from the center box off an assist by Colombian midfielder Carlos Carbonero.

The first half did not end without Mussi Volanti putting on the equalizer via a 34th-minute strike from Chievo forward Roberto Inglese from a cross by striker Riccardo Meggiorini.

Meanwhile, Fiorentina recaptured league leadership after its 4-1 romp of lowly Frosinone at their home field of Stadio Artemio Franchi last Sunday, as reported by SB Nation.

Croatian forward Ante Rebić, Argentine defender Gonzalo Rodríguez, Senegalese striker Khouma Babacar, and midfielder Mario Suárez provided a goal each for Paulo Sousa's crew all in the first half en route to the dominating win.

Frosinone team captain Alessandro Frara managed to put his team on the board in the second half, but that was all I Canarini could do in the match.

It was Viola's second consecutive victory after suffering a two-game setback and Sousa is looking to extend their winning run to three games against La Samp on Sunday.

The prediction is Fiorentina over Sampdoria, 3-1.
