"Assassin's Creed Syndicate" is set in 1868 London, during the height of the Industrial Revolution. The game follows the story of twin assassins Jacob and Evie Frye as they restore the balance in society and topple the now powerful Templars.

During the course of the game, players will encounter several historical figures like Karl Marx, Charles Darwin and even Charles Dickens whose role has a serious influence in the story. The game takes players into an action-packed adventure across high-society London as well as its dark and dangerous underbelly.

"Assassin's Creed Syndicate" features an impressive graphic design and impeccable attention to detail. The game's massive scale will keep any gamer busy for quite some time. The game also runs in in 900p resolution on both Xbox One and PlayStation 4, maintaining a refresh rate of 30 frames per second.

The Frye twins are both interesting and compelling characters. However, the obvious star of "Assassin's Creed Syndicate" is its setting, according to Hardcore Gamer. The dark presentation of 1868 London is a standout character in itself. It creates an interesting contrast between two different but otherwise connected reality. A society embracing the technological benefits of modernization and the old guards still clinging in tradition and old-time sensibility.

A review posted on GameSpot pointed out some hitches in the game's control scheme as well as the quite disappointing final fight. However, the review did commend "Assassin's Creed Syndicate" as a great follow up to a much beloved franchise.
