Vietnam's 2014 Autumn Meeting gala closed in the coastal city of Danang on Nov. 29 with an exhibition of emerging film talents. This is the second time the annual workshop and film forum was held after it was launched in 2013, the Hollywood Reporter said.

Spotted at the 2014 Autumn Meeting were programmers from the Cannes and Venice film festivals. The programmers took the opportunity to establish connections in one of the most promising but reclusive film scenes of Southeast Asia.

For a long time, Vietnam has regarded as a potential film and entertainment boom market with the country's 90 million population and young demographics.

Autumn Meeting co-founder Phan Dang Di said: "We created this event because what young Vietnamese filmmakers need most is exposure to film professionals from around the world. It's hard for them to get exposure to international standards and practices."

"I had that chance, and it's been very important to my career," added Di, whose debut feature film "Bi, Don't Be Afraid" premiered in 2011at the Cannes Critics Week.

Currently, Di's second feature film "Father, Son and Other Stories" is in post-production in France. In October, his upcoming third feature film "Full Moon Party" was one of the Asian Project Market winners of the Busan Film Festival in South Korea.

In collaboration with the Korean Film Council (KOFIC), Di invited South Korean directors of photography Kim Hyung-koo and Lee Doo-Man, who gave career mentoring and instruction to seven aspiring Vietnamese cinematographers during the 2014 Autumn Meeting.

Kim's works include "Memories of Murder" and "The Host," while Lee's credit includes "Wedding Campaign" and "Spellbound."

According to another Autumn Meeting co-founder Tran Thi Bich Ngoc, only six young filmmakers participated in the seminar with the directors in 2013.

"We plan to keep growing the seminars and eventually hope to add a film festival component. It's a step-by-step process, but the impact already has been very positive," said Ngoc, who also co-founded Indochina Productions, the organizer of the "Avengers 2: Age of Ultron" shoot in Asia.

Meanwhile, the cast of the Marvel film are set to re-shoot some scenes in London on New Year, Latin Post reported.
