Supercell has essentially confirmed that the Clash of Clans big update announced via the ClashCon last October will not arrive this November. Most likely, the COC feature upgrades will be packaged as the massively popular game's Christmas special expansion that points to December 2015 release date.

The latest news update from Supercell, according to GameZone, was delivered through a Twitter post, which stated that work on the announced COC add-ons is still in progress. The estimated time of arrival could be in the following days but the game maker also offered a more realistic picture - the tons of work at hand could take a number of weeks to complete.

In response to a query on when the promised Sneak Peaks of the new COC features will be out, Supercell said, "Working on it," adding that posting time for the previews could happen in matter of days.

However, the COC maker also noted that while work on the Sneak Peeks is being prioritized, it is likely that delays could happen.

"It may still take a couple of days or weeks until we can start posting what's coming, but we'll do it ASAP," Supercell said on its Twitter post.

Going by the hints provided so far, it's safe to assume that the new COC feature teasers will start coming out late November and the actual update rollout should be a week after as the case in previous game updates deployed by Supercell. So delivery time for the COC expansion should be right within December or at the height of the 2015 holiday season.

In such a scenario, it is likely too that Supercell will opt for a 2-in-1 update release date, meaning the new COC feature upgrades could be packed with the rumored Christmas special edition that recent reports have suggested.

So along with the Level 11 Town Hall, an additional defensive building, a third Hero that likely is a Mage or a Master Wizard and an expansion to the original COC base layout, Clash of Clans gamers can expect a 2015 holiday theme to go with the COC expansion December release date.
