"19 Kids and Counting" alums Jessa and Ben Seewald recently revealed that they don't call their son by his first name Spurgeon.
According to People, the Seewalds confirmed that they call Spurgeon by his nickname which is Quincy.
On their Facebook page, one fan asked whether or not Jessa and Ben's son will be called by his first or second name which is Elliot.
"Both, but everybody still calls him Quincy! His nickname has been Quincy since we first found out we were pregnant. When we first found out that we were expecting a baby, Ben and I were talking about a letter theme for our kids and Ben suggested, 'Why don't we go with the letter Q?'" Jessa replied to the fan.
"Of course that was a joke, but from that point, Ben started calling our little one 'Quincy,' and the nickname just sorta stuck," she added.
Meanwhile, fans of the Duggars were surprised to find out the couple's baby's unique name.
Some of them even went as far as make fun of it. One fan even questioned what kind of parents that Seewalds are if they will call their baby Spurgeon.
According to the same publication, Quincy was named after Charles Spurgeon, a British preacher.
The couple decided to give their child the second name Elliot to pay tribute to the last missionaries Jim and Elisabeth Elliot.
"We want to give him a strong name, with a lot of meaning," the new mom explained.
Jessa and Ben will appear in the upcoming special "Counting On" next month.
