The upcoming Clash of Clans December update will change the game in big way, Supercell said but the COC creator also clarified that while the feature upgrades can be described as game-changer players also need to realize that too much update hype is needlessly circulating.

For one, Anoushka of Supercell said that the expectation of an "an update that will revolutionize the entire game and bring a whole new dimension to Clash," is all but hype. While the Supercell representative, Latin Post said, is neither confirming nor denying anything, gamers need to be realistic on the Clash of Clans add-ons that will arrive.

Game-changer

One false expectation is that the update will roll out shortly after the ClashCon event last October 24. On this, Anoushka explained that Supercell never mentioned that the upgrade will touchdown on the same date or a few days after.

What is certain, Supercell said, is that the COC update will come packed with game-changer elements, which partly explained why the company is taking its time before pushing out the fresh features for Clashers to enjoy.

Big things to come

The headline component of the COC update is definitely the Level 11 Town Hall and the introduction of the Third Hero. However, the update is a game-changer too as Supercell is set to add new textures into the gameplay - new ways to attack and defend, which Anoushka said are nothing of game-changers.

Balanced gameplay

But the focus is not only on altering the COC as Anoushka noted that the update is seen to impact differently on players. There will be new features that will satisfy the highly skilled gamers and there will be introductions that will appeal to both the new and casual Clashers.

It's all about balanced gameplay, Supercell said.

Better quality of life

And beyond the excitement generated by TH11, the Third Hero (rumored to be a Mage or a Master Wizard) and a larger map for Clasher to operate on, Supercell is also making sure that there will be quality of life changes within the game. What exactly they would be are still unclear but Supercell hints with Session Timer, Personal Breaks and a new Village Guard concept that are seen as ways to ease the COC gameplay pressure.

Things will start to unfold on November 23, which Supercell is the day to expect the first of the COC Sneak Peeks that will run for two weeks. Then for sure, the Clash of Clans update release date will happen, likely beginning on December 7.
