The Android 6.0 Marshmallow will start to fitfully unveil to non-Nexus handsets as announced by OnePlus, including a release date for Android M OTA for OnePlus Two and OnePlus One, Technology Times reported.

Both are running a couple of various operating systems that provide the users with the choice; either the OnePlus Oxygen OS or the Cyanogen OS. These two are custom forms of Android and close an Android experience. This is just among the many reasons for Oppo's big hit in the geek market.

As revealed during the community forum, OnePlus 2 and 1 are both set to have Android 6.0 Marshmallow in 2016,Android Police reported.

Meantime, OnePlus 2 is set to get an update in the early quarter of 2016. The update includes the support of Android 6.0 Marshmallow for the handset's built-in fingerprint scanner.

This support for the built-in fingerprint scanner will not be available in OxygenOS on OnePlus 2. As OnePlus have made a request for creating an API for their existing fingerprint application in Oxygen OS, yet later decided not to push through with it because they are turning over to a regular Android M application soon.

Meanwhile, for OnePlus X, the upgrade to Android 6.0 Marshmallow is happening soon, however, the company has no time frame for this yet. But OnePlus posted a source kernel code for Oxygen Os v2 for OnePlus X via GitHub.

Just recently, OnePlus started to push the current OxygenOS upgrade OTA for OnePlus 2 and X, including an enhanced performance with the installation and launch of the application, enhanced UI for previews in Camera apps and a few security patches and bug fixes.
