The 24-year-old Oscar winning actress later shared few of her pictures with kids and the staff on her social media accounts. ""Happy day!" Visiting the Kosair Children's Hospital," tweeted Lawrence.

Lawrence, dressed casually in black skin tight jeans and a loose fitting cream button-down blouse, interacted with many families, patients and staff in the time that she spent at the hospital.

This is not the first time that Lawrence is visiting the Kosair Children's Hospital. She stopped by the same hospital last year as well on Dec. 22 while she was holidaying with her family in the town, according to Huffington Post

Though the hospital did not share any details of Lawrence' visit this season, they had posted a message of gratitude last year.

"@JenniferUpdates Thank you for visiting the kids yesterday. We know it meant a lot to them and brightened their day," tweeted the Hospital authorities in 2013.

Lawrence has had a great year, having won the Golden Globe for Best Supporting Actress, and the Screen Actors Guild award for "American Hustle". Her film "The Hunger Games: Mockingjay" - Part 1, was the second highest grossing film of the year, in spite of being released in November.

On the personal front, Lawrence stood up for herself when her nude personal pictures were stolen and leaked on the internet, thereby receiving great support from women all around the globe.
