"Grey's Anatomy" season 12 cast member Camilla Luddington recently weighed in on Jo Wilson and Alex Karev's relationship.
In the fall finale episode of the hit ABC series, fans saw Jo break up with her longtime boyfriend Alex.
Jo revealed that she's not very happy with Alex's closeness with Meredith (Ellen Pompeo) especially since the latter bullies her and slams her every now and then.
However, after Jo told Alex her decision to end their relationship, the latter brought out an engagement ring and asked her to marry him.
Unfortunately, Jo wasn't able to give Alex an answer, and this is one storyline that fans need to watch out for when the show returns next year.
In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Luddington said the exact opposite on what she thinks of her character's reaction to Alex and Meredith's closeness.
"I don't think her patience will run thin. I think Jo really respects that relationship with Meredith. She also is an adult who wants to feel as though she and her boyfriend have a healthy relationship where they're spending quality time and moments together and she feels that that might be compromised. Jo really respects Meredith," she said.
Luddington also had a different idea as to how Alex would propose to Jo.
Unlike what she previously said that Alex would have pepperoni pizza with the ring delivered to Jo, the fall finale only showed a simple proposal between the onscreen couple.
Alex's revelation that he's had the ring for a long time is what might have tugged at the fans' heartstrings.
"Grey's Anatomy" season 12 will return to ABC on Feb. 11, 2016.
