News of the characters to play in the Kombat Pack 2 has kept fans guessing as to who will be the playable characters in the upcoming "MKX 2." Most "Mortal Kombat X" players are however disappointed to know that the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (TMNT) will not be appearing even as guest characters in the Kombat Pack 2, as tweeted by Ed Boon last week. Even the release date has been kept a secret.
Already two guest characters have been added Jason Voorhees from "Friday the 13th" horror series and Predator from the "Aliens versus Predators." The rumor mill has churned out the wishful thinking of the fans, and speculation are high for some favorites such as Batman villain Joker, Elvira from the "Mistress of the Dark" comics, and Fenix from "Starcraft," hoping that these would be part of the "MKX" expansion.
Ed Boon is partly responsible for the speculations in his true Boon style. Boon has left a room for speculation by subtly sharing only silhouettes for gamers. As the Nether Realm Studio is reportedly on the verge of bringing new playable characters to the game, speculations are ripe for the inclusion of Smoke, Noob Saibot, Sektor or Cyrax to play the warriors, even though there is no confirmed news just yet.
The identity of the characters still remains a mystery, in the absence of any confirmed reports, adding to the appeal of the Part 2 MKX.
It is rumoured too that characters from "Watchmen" antihero Rorschach and Exorcist Ash Williams from "The Evil Dead" are likely to make the much coveted. Inspite of the mystery surrounding the whole drama, one thing remains certain - we would not get to see the TMNT in "MKX" Kombat Pack 2 DLC.
