On "The Celebrity Apprentice" series premiere, Bill Cosby was put in the spotlight but it was not about the growing number of drugging and sexual assault allegations. It was about his former "The Cosby Show" co-star Keshia Knight Pulliam who was the first celebrity apprentice to be fired.
"What I can say is this: I wasn't there. No one was there except for the two people who know exactly what happened. All I can speak to is the man that I know and I love," Pulliam told Today on Jan. 5, Monday, about the controversy Cosby is currently involved in.
The "The Celebrity Apprentice" series premiere was taped in March 2014, which was months before Cosby was accused by several women of drugging and sexual assault. Among the accusers are former supermodels Beverly Johnson and Janice Dickinson as well as "The Celebrity Apprentice" alum Lou Ferrigno's wife Carla Ferrigno.
In the boardroom, Pulliam was criticized for refusing to contact Cosby to help her team, of which she was the project manager, raise money in a bake sale task. For her, it will be rude to contact the 77-year-old comedian and ask for money after years of no contact.
"I know 'The Cosby Show' is in reruns, and everyone thinks that we're this family that has dinner every Friday night. But the reality was I hadn't spoken to Mr. Cosby," Pulliam explained.
Donald Trump, however, disagreed saying it would have been "a good call." Former "The Celebrity Apprentice" winner Piers Morgan, who was also in the boardroom, agreed with Trump.
