"Empire" season 2 episode 10 was full of surprises. Lucious (Terrence Howard) was removed as CEO of Empire by his youngest son while Cookie (Taraji P. Henson) was shown heading back to prison.

"Empire" season 2 episode 10 entitled "Et, Tu, Brute" began with a flirty exchange between Jamal (Jussie Smollett) and Skye Summers (Alicia Keys) who had hooked up since last week's cliffhanger when the two were shown kissing.

Lucious walked in and was clearly proud to see his openly gay son getting attracted towards a woman. Later in the episode, Jamal declared to Skye that he was gay and has not yet moved on from his last broken relationship with his ex, Michael.

Mimi Whiteman (Marisa Tomei) turned against Luscious and was able to record in a pen camera when he was talking about his disdain for his fellow board members. Mimi shared the recording with everyone after which a fresh round of voting was called on.

Mimi called up her wife on stage who turned out to be none other than Camilla Marks (Naomi Campbell) the ex-girlfriend of Hakeem, who was sent away by Lucious in Season 1.

Cookie and Hakeem, along with his girlfriend Laura, were performing at Family Day at Wallace Correctional Facility, where the former served for 17 years. Andre tracked them down at the prison and told Cookie about the takeover and emergency board meeting.

Cookie could not cancel the prison performance but sends Hakeem in her place with the power of her vote. Although she instructed him that Empire was their legacy and anybody who tried to steal it would be their enemy, he surprised everyone when he voted against his father.

Mimi was announced new CEO who in turn appointed Camilla as the immediate CEO while she has to remain away for her cancer treatment.

Cookie sympathized with Luscious and calmed him down. American Award nomination were announced in which both Jamal and Lucious were nominated for song of the year.

Meanwhile, an intruder, who very much looked like Anika (Grace Gealey), entered pregnant Rhonda's (Kaitlin Doubleday) house and pushed her down the stairs after which she was shown lying in the pool of blood. Her fate remained unknown.
