Good news for all "Girls" fans as the show has been renewed for another season. Michael Lombardo, the President of Programming at HBO, revealed the news at the Season 4 premiere of the much-loved show on Jan. 5, Monday.

The fourth installment of the popular series is all set to start from Jan. 11 and is expected to fetch high TV ratings because of its stellar cast and crisp storyline.

"Girls" is the brainchild of Lena Dunham, who is also the executive producer of the show along with Jennifer Konner and Judd Apatow. It stars Jemima Kirke, Zosia Mamet, Allison Williams and Adam Driver in character-based roles. The fourth season is also set to see a number of cameo appearances from the director Spike Jonze to Gillian Jacobs and Natasha Lyonne.

The series has managed to stay in the public eye and has earned critical acclaim as well. It has also bagged numerous Emmy nominations as well. The icing on the cake was the Golden Globe wins for the best actress and the best series.

This series has also been a launching pad for the actors and actresses who have managed to bag important roles in Hollywood productions. Adam Driver is speculated to be the villain in "Star Wars: The Force Awakens". Actress Alison Williams acted in the "Peter Pan" musical and showed to the world that she has a lot to offer to the world than just her character in the hit TV show "Girls".

"Girls" creator Lena Dunham was also in the news for her controversial memoir titled "Not That Kind of Girl", which took everyone by surprise and caused ripples.
