They may have played like brothers from different mothers in the first installment of "Magic Mike" but Alex Pettyfer and Channing Tatum may not be fond of each other at all in real life.

In a recent podcast interview with B.E.E. hosted by Bret Easton Ellis, the 25-year-old Pettyfer confirmed the ongoing rumors by saying that Tatum does not like him although he quickly added that the reasons might have also been his own fault.

It includes his supposed attitude problem during the beginning years of his career, such as a bad temper and his tendency to isolate himself from the group.

In the said interview, Pettyfer shared how Tatum, who was the lead and one of the co-producers, seemed to be apprehensive in getting him due to his reputation. "He looked upon me as being a risk," he said. It also did not help that he was a bit of a recluse during the entire filming as he is scared of making mistakes.

It further escalated when Tatum learned about Pettyfer's unpaid borrowed money from a common friend and sent a non-friendly e-mail.

However, Pettyfer is clear that he has no bad blood with Tatum, who has just completed shooting Quentin Tarantino's "Hateful Eight" slated for release early next year. Tatum is also about to play Gambit in spring 2016.

Pettyfer stressed that people make mistakes, especially when they are still young. In another interview with People, he said what is most important is owning up to them, which he made, and moving on toward a better direction.

So far, Tatum has not given his reaction to  Pettyfer's comments. Meanwhile, the latter is keeping himself busy despite not being able to reprise his role in "Magic Mike XXL" released in mid-2015. He is currently filming "Elvis & Nixon," a comedy-drama directed by Liza Johnson, and has set up Upturn Publishing, a publishing company that promises to reinvent the way stories are being told.
