"The Lazarus Effect" is joining the elite list of superb film releases in 2015. Its newly released trailer will tremendously shock the audiences as it straightforwardly presents its sci-fi/horror thriller nature.

The movie stars Mark Durplass and Olivia Wilde as medical students, who're pushing for an experimental drug that can resurrect dead animals. However, when Wilde's character dies due to a lab accident, the treatment ends up being tested on her. The result, of course, isn't that ideal.

In the newly released trailer, audiences have commented that the spoiler material is nothing but a bland cautionary thriller film.

"The Lazarus Effect" cast includes Donald Glover of the "Community" and Evan Peters of the "American Horror Story" under the direction of the documentarian of "Jiro Dreams of Sushi" David Geib. Its script was drafted and finalized by Luke Dawson- the brains behind the dialogues of the Thai Horror "Shutter", and Jeremy Slater, the "Fantastic Four" script drafter.

This David Geib film, which had an original title of "Re-awakening" and "Lazarus" before finally having "The Lazarus Effect", is the newest low budget but innovative film of Blumhouse Productions.

According to EW, there is a rich treat of supernatural phenomena, stings, and demonic anguish, but what is more prominent is the undeniable evocative image of Wilde being resurrected up while being shrouded in a sheet.

The trailer, actually, is inviting due to its interesting twists of genre; however, in the horror categorization, it has most likely missed than hit.

"The Lazarus Effect" will hit theaters around the world on Feb. 27.
