With regard to his long-running series, Kishimoto said, "There are infinite possibilities right now. If I decide that I want to do more Naruto stories, perhaps I will, perhaps I won't. That said, there is nothing firmly in the works at this time. Just that there is always the possibility..."

Kishimoto added that currently he would like to create something on the line of science-fiction.

In addition, Kishimoto unveiled a possible storyline should he succeed with the extra stories for the series, according to The Bit Bag.

The 40-year-old anime creator said, "I suppose one possibility would be to write the story from Sasuke's perspective, or even the mentors, the teachers, especially like Jiraiya, because there's a general difference there too."

A movie based on Naruto's mentor Sannin Jiraiya would open many possibilities and points of view for the series. It would take the story to a different era because of a "generational difference" with Naruto.

The upcoming spin-off is based on the renowned manga and anime creator Kishimoto, and the sequel follows the story of a teenage ninja, Naruto Uzumaki, who is in constant quest for knowledge and identification in an attempt to become a full-fledged Hokage.

The most recent film, "Boruto: Naruto the Movie" focuses on Naruto's son, Boruto, and his wife Hinata Hyuga. The movie gave a narrative of Boruto's search for solace in defeating his father while training under Sasuke Uchiha, Naruto's friend and rival. Reportedly, the movie earned approximately $5 million during its premiere, making is one of the series' highest grossing opening that could require a spin-off.
