SeaLife has introduced new Micro 2.0 underwater camera, fully sealed for use underwater without a separate case.

The Micro 2.0 can be taken to depths of 200 feet. Aside from its ability to descend great depths, the camera functions like an ordinary point-and-shoot, including things like a rechargeable internal battery, Sony CMOS sensor, and more.

It can shoot 1080p 60fps and 1296p 30fps video with its 16-megapixel Sony CMOS sensor, and features a Lithium-ion battery capable of more than three hours of continuous video or more than 1,000 still images, SlashGear reported.

Equipped with the 130-degree wide-angle fisheye lens and fast shutter response time, the new Micro 2.0 allows the user to capture everything in the photo. This lens can also focus as close as 12 inches, and it can even get closer to your subject with the use of the optional 10x Macro close-up lens.

The on-screen Easy Setup Guide offers a fast and intuitive way to select a digital color correction mode, preventing users from having to use color correction filters or endlessly scrolling through menus. The three large keys control all the cameras essential functions, making it easy to operate underwater with or without gloves.

Other features include a 2.4-inch color display, time lapse recording, upside down shooting, and up to 64GB of internal storage space. The 2350mAh battery allows for 12 or more hours of FHD video recording.

The Micro 2.0’s built-in WiFi feature wirelessly connects the camera to any Apple device running on iOS 6.0 or above as well as an Android smart phone or tablet using the free SeaLife Micro Cam app, according to Photography Blog. Pictures and videos can be downloaded from the camera, previewed to their smart device and instantly shared.

In addition, there is an app that allows for the remote control of the Micro 2.0 camera, providing a live view of the display, allowing someone to share the underwater experience on the smart phone or tablet while it is happening.

Sealife Micro 2.0 is now available for $549.
