Taylor Swift gifted a fan with a $1989 check to help her pay for student loans, E! Online reported.

The recipient of the check was Rebekah Bortniker, one of the fans of the "Blank Space" singer called Swifties. The check for Bortniker was inside a "New York is my Boyfriend" purse with a little note on the side that says:  "Rebekah, now you're $1,989 closer to paying those student loans."

In a video clip, the devoted fan opened Swift's presents. Aside from the check, Bortniker received a card where Swift expressed her gratitude for the loyal fan.

The pop star wrote, "I was thinking about you today and how you've been there, cheering me on in the most thoughtful and creative ways. I love the video you made of me and my friends and your text posts always crack me up."

Swift is referring to Bortniker's video that was published on Tumblr. It featured the singer with her gal pals Selena Gomez, Karlie Kloss and Lorde among others to the tune of "I'll Be There for You" from the hit show "Friends."

Along with the card is a Polaroid of Swift painting a picture for Bortniker. The painting with the fan's nickname BEKS and the year 1989 below it was filled with flowers.  Swift also gave her fan a necklace with a heart-shaped note that says "Bek, was mine, now yours."

In response to her idol's thoughtfulness, Bortniker thanked her on Tumblr and apologized that she was too shocked too say a proper thank you on video.  The fan added that the gifts were very meaningful for her and expressed her love for Swift.

The "Swiftmas" presents that Bortniker received were personally prepared by the pop star after she gathered the fan's data through social media. Using the hashtag #Taylurking, Swift lurked in social media to collect personal information of her devoted followers, Eyewitness News reported.
