Golden Globe-nominated actress Rosamund Pike said that there could be a "Gone Girl" sequel but not after a decade.

"Maybe, 10 years down the road. I'd think I'd want...to see what happens when the child is about 10," Pike told E! News a at BAFTA-LA's Tea Party on Jan. 11, Sunday.

In 2014, Pike revealed what she had to do for her role in "Gone Girl." She told Vulture she had to "gain and lose weight for those scenes three times over!"

"I had to be slimmer in L.A. and heavier in the Ozarks, and then heavier and slimmer in the studio, so I had to do it three times over," Pike explained.

The 35-year-old British actress said she had two weeks each time for each fluctuation and it was "quite intense" and was "like turning your body into a chemistry lab."

According to Pike, she did not quite take up boxing but trained with welterweight boxer, Holly Lawson, who she said she consulted because she is one of those who are "very conversant in being one weight, and then having to drop in a confined period of time," and fortunately, her body cooperated to a certain extent.

"But I don't know how good it is for you. It's probably better to be gaining weight steadily over a long period of time, as with the baby," said the actress who made her debut as a Bond girl in the 2002 film "Die Another Day."

Directed by David Flincher, "Gone Girl" is a film adaptation of Gillian Flynn's novel of the same title. The screenplay was also written by Flynn.
