343 Industries and Microsoft recently announced that they were going to release a big update titled as "Cartographer's Gift" as a part of its free updates for "Halo 5:  Guardians"  in December.

Other updates of the game will include the forge mode, power - ups, team battle modes,  and the introduction of daily incentives to encourage players to login, according to Gotta Be Mobile.

The update will also include new armor sets, weapons, assassinations, warzone and arenas, and they will be absolutely free.

Additionally, there might be a loyalty program, which will be boosting rewards for players who continuously play the multiplayer modes in warzone and arena, according to reports from Gamespot.

Players will get free requirement packs, by just playing, and more rewards can be earned by being consistent, especially in the multiplayer modes.

However, the rewards cannot be earned by simply signing up for the game, as players need to win each match to be rewarded.

Basically, "Halo 5" is not the first game, which has announced rewards to players for just playing the game. Some other games, which have followed the strategy, include Konami's "Metal Gear V:  The Phantom Pain".

Although the release date for the new update and "Cartographer's Gift" has not yet been announced, yet rumors are in the air that it will definitely be in mid December and before the Holiday season officially starts.
