Square Enix has unveiled director Tetsuya Nomura's take on the Kingdom Hearts 2.5 Launch Event that took place in Burbank. The event saw the Kingdom Hearts Premium Theater finally coming to Japan.

Responding to Square Enix concerning his feeling to finally have the Kingdom Hearts Premium Theater in Japan, Nomura said, "Japanese fans are shyer than fans overseas, but I was very happy that I was able to feel that the Japanese fans were having fun this time too."

The director added that "Kingdom Hearts" is a unique title because developers have shared a connection with fans for many years. As opposed to establishing a one-time relationship like a festival, developers and fans feel like partners or friends that have had a long time together. Nomura cherishes such rare events that are meant to establish a stronger bond with avid fans.

According to Dual Shockers, when director Nomura was asked what the format would be in future if an opportunity presents itself, he replied that events many change based on the location and timing.

Nomura said, "The content of the event would change depending on the location and timing, so the format would most likely depend on those two factors. Also, as for D23, location becomes restricted as there are rules set by the host. Since we had more applicants than the amount of participants that we could accommodate this time, if we did have another opportunity to hold an event like this one, I think I will first consider the capacity of the venue instead of the format of the event."

With regard to the newest update to "Kingdom Hearts" X[Chi] that introduces a new world - Beast's Castle - the director said that the company is prioritizing the worlds of the seven princess's according to "the fairy tale era" concept.
