Avid fans of "Clash of Clans" (COC) and "Star Wars" have been treated with a new ad before the film in some theaters. COC developer company, Supercell presents the Austrian-German actor and Academy Award winner for the Best Supporting Actor in "Inglourious Basterds" and "Django Unchained," Christopher Waltz.
In the COC commercial, Waltz plays the father to an overgrown son, James Corden, who is the host of "The Late, Late Show."
The scene opens with Corden in bed with a tablet gadget playing Clash of Clans. Waltz comes in to tell his son a bedtime story. It is a true story of a powerful and courageous father, and his chubby pup of a son.
Corden looks away wondering whether his father is talking about him in the story titled "The Legend of the Last Lava Pup."
Waltz continues his storytelling based on a real game played by a COC gamer. In the story, the Lava Pup is left after his Lava Hound father, and all his brothers were obliterated. Lonely and scared, Lava Pup manages to take out the Town Hall.
The end of the scene reveals the real life gameplay that the bedtime story is based upon. Supercell plans to have more "True Tales of Clash Archievery" as a promotional campaign founded by Barton F. Graf 9000.
COC developer company will look through its community groups, forums, and Reddit. According to Fast Co-Create, a new site was launched on Christmas Day where players can submit personal Archievery clips.
Clash of Clans as well recently updated their game to have their Christmas theme with snow and a new tree. Every year there is a new tree to ensure that gamers maintain them. TimmyEatWorld offers some tips on maintaining the seasonal obstacles, and compelling them to spawn in regions that will not interfere with bases later in the game, according to All Clash.
