Brian O'Conner (Paul Walker) was instrumental in all the "Fast and Furious" films, and the producers are working hard to bring him back in future movies of the franchise. After NBC Universal officially announced "Fast and Furious 8," vice chairman Ron Meyer responded to rumors spreading about Paul's character in the forthcoming installment.

Talking to Variety last November, Meyer said, "Paul won't be in it, but he'll be represented in some form or another but whether his image is in it, I can't tell you yet, but he won't be in the film as a performer, as an actor, the way we did it last time."

However, with the statement, there is no clarification as to whether O'Conner's character will be played by a personality double with CGI effects, or whether it will be a very different actor. Initially, Cody Walker played O'Conner's double in the seventh installment.

In case the producers choose to continue with the CGI effects, it will definitely prove to be a big task for the effects team, particularly given "Fast and Furious 8" is just the first of a final trilogy that the team has planned. They should be prepared for the task ahead because fans will possibly expect a realistic depiction.

Meanwhile, Vin Diesel named some Hollywood personalities whom he will work with in the upcoming "Fast and Furious 8," Ecumenical News reported. Helen Mirren, Diesel's co-star in "The Last Witch Hunter," is among the characters featuring in Furious 8 in addition to the beautiful Indian actress Deepika Padukone.

"Fast and Furious 8" already has a tentative release date set for April 15, 2017. Stay tuned for more spoilers as they trickle in. For now, watch the clip below for more information.
