Gear S2 made a big hit since its release in September 2015. Today speculations are circulating that the device will have a better-looking variant. It is actually a rumor moving around the Web with no supporting elements like pictures; however, it was quickly picked up by many online sites.
The arrival of the speculated variants of the Gear S2 all started with 9to5Google, which says that it first popped up on Roland Quandt's Twitter account. This guy specified that the new smartwatch will arrive with two color options - platinum and rose gold. However, there was no specification as to when the variants will be officially released.
It is said that this is just the basic model of the Gear S2 with a sporty watch and a Gear S2 Classic. The look and feel seems rather traditional. The Gear S2 will only have two color options - silver and gray, while the Classic comes in black. The Classic model will include two variants with cases in platinum and rose gold. The straps can be matched with the cases. For this reason, Samsung has to tie up with other mobile manufacturers to innovate customized versions like the Gear S2.
Samsung decides that it will increase the color options for the Gear S2 Classic. Huawei and Moto 360 2 Watch already have rose gold options. This color option has been a dominant choice for smartphones and smartwatches, and it appears that Samsung is considering it for its Gear S2 innovations. Apple has also the red gold option made from solid gold like those found in the iPhone 6S Plus and iPhone 6S.
As of today, no official release date has been announced for the new Gear S2 variants. So let's wait and see till Samsung has it finally out.
