New "Persona 5" details will feature a DLC tease, three new gameplay options and a summer 2016 release date along with "Final Fantasy XV".
Game director Katsura Hashino stated in an interview that "Persona 5" will be out in the summer for the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3 consoles as Hashino had divulge several details regarding the sequel's gameplay features.
To start of, "Persona 5" will have a different narrative storyline as the plot will not be solving mysteries, but instead, the protagonist and his friends will find a strange device that will help them find their identities and confronting the "darkness" in their psychology. The protagonist will be interacting with his friends Ryuki Sakamoto, Ann Takamaki, Yusuke Kitagawa and a talking cat named Morgana. "Persona 5" will also feature separate storylines for each character aside from the protagonist in order for the players to get to know them better as lead designer Shigenori Soejima stated that more characters will be introduced in the sequel.
Aside from the narrative storyline, "Persona 5" will feature three new gameplay options: Cooperation, All-Out-Attack and Sneak. Sneak in "Persona 5" will allow characters to use stealth when infiltrating an area or attacking an enemy unit in dungeon areas. Cooperation allows gamers to connect with other non-playable characters and use the information they could offer to them. The All-Out-Attack will allow the protagonist and his friends to rally and gang up on an enemy units, the Christian Post reported.
"Persona 5" will feature a real world experience similar to the previous titles such as going to school, play baseball, ride the subway etc. There will be an in-game social media websites to keep in touch with your friends in the sequel. Atlus is also working on the game's DLC, making it one of the reasons for the game's delay last year, although the Japanese publisher did not reveal what kind of features will the DLC have on the game.
Lastly, there have been rumors making rounds that "Persona 5's" launch date in the summer could be joined by another JRPG title, "Final Fantasy XV".
The speculation started when "FFXV's" publisher Square Enix created an online survey for the gaming fans asking them which game are they lookin forward and the reasons why they wanted get it first. The options in the first question are "Persona 5" and "Final Fantasy XV", Destructoid reported.
Square Enix stated that they will have a special event for "Final Fantasy XV" on March this year and could announce its official release date.
"Persona 5" will launch in the summer 2016 in Japan and in the United States sometime this year for the PS4 and PS3.
