Sliding team US Citta di Palermo (5-9-3, 18 points) will take on second-running squad ACF Fiorentina (11-4-2, 35 points) at the Stadio Renzo Barbera on January 6th, Wednesday as the 2015-2016 Serie A season moves forward.
Palermo dropped to the 16th spot of the overall standings after they were blanked by Sampdoria, 0-2, in their most recent game at the Stadio Luigi Ferraris in Genoa last December 20, via Soccerway.
Midfielders Roberto Soriano and David Ivan scored the goals for Sampdoria as Davide Ballardini's men could not penetrate I Blucerchiati's defense.

Croatian striker Nikola Kalinic and Slovenian winger Josip Ilicic provided the two goals for Paulo Sousa's side en route to the convincing victory.
The predicted result is another 2-0 win for Fiorentina. Kalinic and Ilicic will resume scoring duties against a reeling Palermo squad, who are having problems on defense as of the moment.
