'The Elder Scrolls' is a series of action role-playing open world fantasy video games primarily developed by Bethesda Game Studios and published by Bethesda Softworks.

"Fallout 4" was already unveiled with DLCs being under development, and seemingly, the Bethesda Softworks is on the right track towards "The Elder Scrolls VI," if this is to be considered the direction of things.

Latest rumors point towards "The Elder Scrolls 6" having a high chance to be announced during E3 2017, in case the appearance of Bethesda in the annual event materializes. In February, lead designer Todd Howard told Polygon that the development teams were working on three different games.

"We actually have three longer term projects that we're doing that are all," Howard said. "We'll talk about them at a future date but they're different to anything we've done before, while also being a Bethesda-style game."

Furthermore, Howard said it is big and crazy but different in many waysIt is possible that the company is working on a very different game or it could be indeed a new "Elder Scrolls" game, and the latest notion is that the company will instead work on a re-master of "Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim" for the next-gen consoles and graphics before embarking on "Elder Scrolls VI."

Meanwhile, there might be hope since Bethesda Softworks recently posted four new job positions on its official website. The posting might be an indication that the development of the next game in the "Elder Scrolls" franchise is about to take off.

According to the job posting, the company is soliciting for a game programmer, an engine programmer, and two graphics programmers. Furthermore, it was unveiled that Jeff Gardiner, the lead producer of "Fallout 4," and Dave Schreiber, sound designer of "Skyrim," are on the list as well for the unannounced game.

It is important to note that the last main game in the franchise, besides the "MMORPG," was "Skyrim" - released back in 2011. Therefore, fans have been clamoring for a new title in the franchise for some year now, which explains why most rumors about the new job postings point to a new "Elder Scrolls" game.
