'The Elder Scrolls' is a series of action role-playing open world fantasy video games primarily developed by Bethesda Game Studios and published by Bethesda Softworks.

After Bethesda announced that it will officially attend E3 2016, there have been increased speculations about the much awaited "Elder Scrolls 6" or "Skyrim 2." In the announcement, the developer company included a character from "Elder Scrolls" franchise, making people assume that they will be having hand-on the sixth installment during the upcoming E3 2016.

In an interview with the Telegraph, the Vice President of PR and Marketing Pine Hine confirmed that "Elder Scrolls 6," which he referred to as "Skyrim 2," is in development. As a result, rumors that the upcoming game will be based on "Morrowind" or "Oblivion" is now discredited.

According to Hine, it is not easy to have franchises like the ones Bethesda has and get people joking about when the next installment will be released. However, people would say so because that is what is expected with another publisher in charge.

Hine said, "They'd be spitting out a Skyrim 2 the year after or two years later. That's just not how we view it. We're not the sort of publisher that focuses on 'what's our 25 titles for 2015'."

Bethesda's Vice President of PR and Marketing added that the company does small stuff and try to publish to quality as opposed to pushing to scale. The company's approach of ensuring everything done is significant has not changed. While Bethesda may sometimes change the strategy according to what is presented, it still sticks to what it is.

In a different interview with Dual Shockers at the Gamescom 2015, Hine put it clear that "Elder Scrolls 6" or "Skyrim 2" will not come out anytime soon. The Vice President mentioned that he does not believe fans are about to get updates on the next "Elder Scrolls."

Hine said that Bethesda is currently working on "Fallout 4," and that occupies the entire studio that is 100 percent focused on the game. Notably, the developer company is not used to splitting development teams, and therefore, fans may have to wait until 2017 to receive updates on "Elder Scrolls 6." As it is, there is "Fallout 4" and its DCs to be released on the game later on.
