Supergirl speeds against The Flash in a new trailer of crossover episode

"The Flash" and "Supergirl" crossover episode was finally aired last Monday and the audience reception to the special were so positive that a second crossover might be on its way.

The CW Executive Producer Greg Berlanti talked about the recently concluded episode and he explained that the episode is also relevant to the events on "The Flash" universe. It is worth noting that Barry Allen is only capable of travelling through time as of the moment and has yet to travel between worlds. However, that is not the case in this episode as "Supergirl" universe revolves on Earth-3.

"They flip order, obviously, because this will air Monday and 'The Flash' one that sort of hints at how he gets over there and gets back airs on Tuesday," Berlanti said during a press screening event for "The Flash" and "Supergirl" special via Hollywood Reporter. "The audience has to forgive us because one has to air before the other, but they shouldn't wait to watch 'Supergirl' until after 'The Flash' episode."

He further added that this episode will serve as a sneak peek on "The Flash" episode 17 where Barry will try to go beyond his limits just to increase his speed.

Berlanti also said that the chronological order of the show is far less crucial than making the episode happen despite being on different networks. "The Flash" is airing over at The CW while "Supergirl" is available on CBS.

"Had it been all on one network, we would have been able to coordinate that," Berlanti referring to the two shows.

To make things sweeter, Berlanti said that another crossover episode is a huge possibility but this time, it will be Melissa Benoist (Kara Danvers/Supergirl) coming over to Grant Gustin's (Barry Allen/The Flash) universe.

"We would love that," Berlanti said when asked of the possibility of another special. "We're waiting to see the audience's reaction from something like this."

Meanwhile, the next "The Flash" episode is entitled "Flash Back." After learning Zoom's identity, Barry is focused to match the speed of Zoom in order to stop him for good. He decides to travel back in time and seek help from his archrival, Eobard Thawne but things take on an unexpected turn as he bumps to familiar faces, Eddie Thawne and Hartley Rathaway, Melty.com reported. Here's a preview of the upcoming episode.
