Actor Song Joong Ki to grace the May issue of Harper's Bazaar Korea magazine

South Korean actor Song Joong Ki plays the lead character of Captain Yoo Si Jin aka Big Boss in KBS2's 'Descendants of the Sun.'

South Korean actor Song Joong Ki will be on the cover of a local fashion magazine, wherein he is expected to spill the beans on his blooming career and his recent trip to Hong Kong to promote KBS2's mega-hit series, "Descendants of the Sun."

The news first broke out when Harper's Bazaar Korea magazine took to Instagram late night on April 12, Tuesday and dropped a short video clip and a teaser photo of the 30-year-old star's recent shoot. Hence, it has been learned that Song will be the cover model of the said fashion magazine's May edition, K-Pop Herald reported.

The update starts off with a short video message from the actor inviting fans to keep an eye out for the May issue of Harper's Bazaar Korea, saying, "Hello, this is Song Joong Ki. I am shooting for Bazaar's May edition right now. Please see the upcoming issue."

This was then followed by a sultry-looking Song while posing by the famous Hong Kong skyline. According to the local media, the star's photo shoot is entitled "Hong Kong Diary" with photographer Kim Jae Hoon at the helm.

Aside from handling series of endorsement deals, the actor has also been appointed as an honorary ambassador, who will be starring in both print and TV advertisement that will start airing in July. The South Korea's Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism aims to promote the country as an exciting destination in the world by using the actor's overwhelming popularity.

With the role of Army Captain Yoo Si Jin aka Big Boss in "Descendants of the Sun," Song have risen to stardom in several Asian countries, more particularly in China and Korea.

Meanwhile, it was reported that the Hallyu star is scheduled to hold a fan meeting tour in Asia kicking off in Seoul on April 17 and will be followed on May 14 in Beijing, China. The said event was organized by his agency, Blossom Entertainment, in corporation with CN Bless and HS E&C, Hello K-Pop has learned.
