The latest details for "Thor: Ragnarok" will feature Tom Hiddleston stance on his role as Loki and Tessa Thompson rumored to play Valkyrie in the movie.
New developments revealed regarding Tom Hiddleston's status in the Marvel Cinematic Universe as he was set to return as the God of Mischief Loki in "Thor: Ragnarok". The "Crimson Peak" star stated that he has "retracted" his comments regarding retiring as Loki in the MCU as he told New York Daily News that he knows how many times he will play his character in the upcoming Marvel movies within phase 3.
Hiddleston added that it was not "personal" and wants to keep the role fresh for viewers and comic fans who enjoy the MCU films and was true to his word of being a God of Mischief stating that he likes to play games. Hiddleston teased that he wanted Loki to face Doctor Stephen Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch) in the future as he describes the encounter as "exciting" and cited his friendship with the "Sherlock" actor.
Several comic book fans are wondering as to when will Loki return in phase 3 as Hiddleston stated he has not don the character for four years, hinting that it will his last time "out of the gates". Loki was last seen in the end of "Thor: The Dark Workd" as he took over throne of Asgard disguised as his adopted father Odin (Anthony Hopkins), leaving the fate of king of Asgard a mystery.
In other news, a new cast member for "Thor: Ragnarok" is rumored to play an important character in the Thor mythos.
"Creed" and "Dear White People" actress Tessa Thompson is hinted to play the MCU's version Brunnhilde, who is also known as Asgardian warrior Valkyrie, while other speculations stated that her role as "a kind of superhero", Slash Films reported.
Brunnhilde is chosen by Odin to lead the Valkyrior and lead the slain warriors in Valhalla in "Thor: Ragnarok" and has been hinted to return again in "Avengers: Infinity War" film. Valkyrie was supposed to be appear in "Thor: The Dark World", but was taken off the last second as several concept arts for the character were revealed online
It is also rumored that Thomson's character could be Thor's (Chris Hemsworth) new love interest as Natalie Portman will not be reprising her role as Jane Foster in the film."Thor: Ragnarok" will center on the apocalyptic event happening in Asgard as Thor must find a way to prevent it from coming true. The movie will also feature Thor's fellow Avengers teammate Bruce Banner/The Incredible Hulk (Mark Ruffalo) and a new villain the Goddess of death Hela (Cate Blanchett).
"Thor: Ragnarok" is scheduled to be release on Nov. 3, 2017.
