Ahn Jae Hyun and Ku Hye Sun, who starred in KBS2's 2015 fantasy medical drama called "Blood," have filed papers to register their marriage. An application to register the marriage was submitted by the 31-year-old actress at the Gangnam district office on May 20, Friday.

The actress registered their marriage by herself, as the 28-year-old actor was not able to go in person due to filming for the upcoming TV drama series with a working title of "Cinderella and Four Knights." Nonetheless, many local reports and avid fans were present to witness the special event.

"Thank you. Thank you for congratulating us. I feel shy," Soompi quoted the actress as saying to the group of reporters.

The couple will be holding a small family-style gathering along with their dearest loved ones to officially celebrate their marriage tomorrow, May 21. The couple previously expressed that they opted not to hold an expensive conventional wedding ceremony.

Instead, they plan to donate the wedding asset to the pediatrics ward at the Severance Hospital situated in Sinchon-dong, Seodaemun District, South Korea, One YG Family reported. Furthermore, Ahn and Ku have decided to forgo a honeymoon.

"Both of us have decided to spend our meaningful celebration in a good more meaningful way," said Ku in a previous interview. "Ahn Jae Hyun happily decided to my opinions to take action."

Ahn and Ku first met while working together in the vampire-thriller drama series, "Blood," which aired on KBS2 from Feb. 16 to April 21, 2015, for a total of 20 episodes. The couple opened up to the world about their relationship on March 11 and revealed that they have been together since April 2015.

In the drama, Ahn and Ku played Dr. Park Ji Sang and Dr. Yoo Ri-Ta, respectively. The drama is set within the best-known hospital in the country called Taemin Cancer Hospital and follows a vampire, who works as a doctor (Ahn) specializing in hepatic-pancreatic-biliary surgery.

An unending battle between good and evil ensues when Ahn's character encountered the two-faced hospital chiefs, Dr. Lee Jae Wook (Ji Jin Hee), who gains everyone's trust with his tender manner, yet internally harbors a hazardous desire for power.
