The “Thor” fame Tom Hiddleston is set to play Sherlock’s brother in "Sherlock" Season 4.

It was way back in 2014 when the hit British-American crime drama series, "Sherlock," concluded its third season. With the fourth installment already confirmed for a 2017 release date, reports about its production have made its way online. Latest reports claim that the production of "Sherlock" Season 4 is set to begin filming in Morocco, and may feature "Thor's" fame Tom Hiddleston.

It is said that the long awaited "Sherlock" Season 4 is going to have episodes being filmed in North Africa, specifically in Morocco. Although the reports seemed to be confirming the location, the intention of why "Sherlock" flew there is still not clear, Metro has learned. It is said that the Morocco episodes may be the third or fourth episode of "Sherlock" Season 4.

Meanwhile, according to Deadline, a new character will be joining "Sherlock" Season 4. The new character is said to be Toby Jones, who will play as the latest antagonist in "Sherlock" Season 4.

It can be recalled that Jones was seen on various British television series, and he was one of the casts in "Detectorists," "The Secret Agent," and was also seen in the hit Fox tv series, "Wayward Pines." His entry in "Sherlock" Season 4 was confirmed by the executive producer, writer, and co-creator of "Sherlock" Steven Moffat. The showrunner said that he was happy about picking-up the actor to portray one of the best villains in the series.

On the other hand, latest rumors about the upcoming season points to the possibility that the Hollywood actor Tom Hiddleston may join "Sherlock" Season 4.

If rumors are to be believed, Hiddleston will be playing the character Sherrinford Holmes. The news came after when the creator of "Sherlock," Mark Gatiss, was caught saying that he would be glad to see Hiddleston in the series, which led to speculations that the "Thor" fame is going to play Sherlock's brother.

As of the moment, there is no confirmation in relation to the plot of the next installment. BBC has not also unveiled a firm release date of "Sherlock" Season 4.
