Microsoft Surface Pro 5: Microsoft to create a more powerful device, Surface Pro 4 receives $405 discount

Recent reports suggest that the Microsoft Surface Pro 5 will be released in September 2016.

Rumor has it that the upcoming Microsoft device will include Intel Kaby Lake processors and a 4K UHD display.

The processor will be available later in 2016, according to a report from CNET. Therefore, it is expected that the Microsoft Surface Pro 5 will release in September 2016.

Several reports indicate that Kaby Lake processor will consume less power and it will be able to provide improved battery life than the Skylake processor that powers the SP 4. The new tablet is expected to include 16 GB of RAM.

Rumors are doing the rounds that the Surface Pro 5 will sport a bigger capacity battery and a 4K Ultra HD display. Other features of the tablet include Nvidia Pascal or AMD Polaris graphics, USB Type-C port and improved Surface Pen stylus.

Some reports suggest that the 4K Ultra HD resolution will be available on particular variants of SP 5. It is expected that the other models will come with 2K resolution display.

According to many reports, the base model of the upcoming device will be priced at $799. Furthermore, the highest configuration model will be priced at $1,799.

Meanwhile, people can now lease a Microsoft Surface Book, Microsoft Surface Pro 4 and Microsoft Surface 3 instead of purchasing them outright.

The tech giant Microsoft has started to offer a Surface Membership plan to business customers, according to a report from Engadget. The software giant is giving small businesses the option of financing Microsoft devices through a monthly payment plan.

Monthly fees differ depending on the type of plan a customer choose. People can choose to spread their payments over 18 months, 24 months or 30 months.

Prices for the Surface plan begin at $33 every month for the Microsoft Surface 3 and Type Cover keyboard for a 30-month plan. The Microsoft Surface Pro 4 (Core i5, 256GB, 8GB RAM) will cost about $80 every month for a 24-month plan or $98 every month on an 18-month plan.

Microsoft Surface Book (Core i5 processor, 128GB of storage, 8GB RAM, no GPU) costs about $80 every month for a 30-month plan.
