Samsung might fit a 5.5-inch 4K UHD screen with their new Bio Blue technology on the upcoming Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Edge flagship smartphone.

The South Korean tech giant recently unveiled their new Bio Blue screen technology that is proven to be more vivid and more power efficient than their current Super AMOLED screens. It would prove to be a better display panel for the upcoming Galaxy S8.

Screen size and quality are factors that consumers look for when buying a smartphone. Samsung's models have been pretty expensive in particular because of their OLED screens which help save battery power.

Samsung's new Bio Blue screen technology for the S8 and S8 Edge would also help reduce the blue light levels down to six percent compared to the currently lowest point of 32 percent in the market today, Nashville Chatter has learned. Excessive blue light or prolonged exposure to it can hurt a person's eyes and damage their eyesight in the long run.

Earlier reports have suggested that the screen will be used for the Galaxy Note 7. However, the size of the screen could point to the smaller flagship smartphone from Samsung instead.

Samsung's mass production of the 4K UHD Bio Blue screen is expected to start in the following months for the Galaxy S8 and the Galaxy S8 Edge, Phone Radar reported. There are even rumors that it will also allow the flagship smartphone to provide a better VR experience for users.

Users will be able to make use of their Samsung Gear VR headsets with the new phones' better screens. Since it has a higher resolution than the current generation, there would also be more pixels for better screen detail overall.

There is still a possibility that the new screen tech can appear on the Galaxy Note 7, the Galaxy Note 7 Edge and the foldable Galaxy X slated to be released in 2017. So far, the company has not yet revealed anything officially.

Samsung's Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 could be more expensive with its new 5.5-inch 4K UHD Bio Blue screen technology in 2017. However, most people would still want to buy the phone considering that it would have the best screen.
