Claudia Jordan is taking back her words about Katie Holmes, 37, and Jamie Foxx, 48, as it appeared that she confirmed the romance rumors between the two but later backtracked. There have been long-rumored closeness of Holmes and Foxx but both denied it over the years though it was said their relationship is open among their friends.
Foxx is happy with Holmes, Jordan said on the "Allegedly with Theo Von & Matthew Cole Weiss" podcast on June 21, Tuesday. She added she likes that her friend seems to be very happy.
Jordan's statements were never confirmed by reps of either Foxx or Holmes. The former "Real Housewives of Atlanta" star is close to Foxx, having worked with him on The Foxxhole on Sirius XM comedy channel.
Jordan later took back her words about Holmes and Foxx. She said she "misspoke," and denied any knowledge about the two as she never have seen them together.
"He's never told me he's dating her," Jordan told Entertainment Tonight just hours after seemingly confirming the romance. She added, "I don't have the knowledge of this being fact. I don't. I misspoke."
This time, the reality star was cautious while speaking, reiterating that she could not confirm the Holmes-Foxx rumored romance. She clarified her words and shared that her friendship with Foxx is a teasing one, and that they do not talk about their personal lives.
The "Celebrity Apprentice" contestant did not mean to reveal anything that is worth the news, such as about the lives of her celebrity friends, or even those she does not know. She just gives generic answers that could not be a bombshell.
Jordan also regretted putting Foxx's name in the headlines. She shared she wants her friend to be happy, whoever he is with. Nevertheless, she does not want to know anymore as it is none of her business.
Holmes and Foxx were in the headlines as OK! Magazine reported they put hold their wedding because the actress is allegedly pregnant. Holme's rep denied the report while Foxx is "not engaged, not getting married and not having another child," the actor's rep told E! News.
