Cameron Diaz's "Annie" co-actor Jamie Foxx, 47, recently denied the rumors that he was secretly dating Katie Holmes, 36, the former wife of his "Collateral" co-actor Tom Cruise, 52.
Spotted by TMZ at an ATM machine Westlake, Calif. on March 20, Foxx joked, "Oh come on, you guys have been trying to get that to stick for three years."
"(We're) just friends. That's all it is," Foxx said about his relationship with Holmes.
What Foxx confirmed was that he and Holmes were together recently only because they doing an animation project with "CSI" creator Anthony Zuiker.
The rumor about Foxx dating Holmes started when Us Weekly released a photo that was said to be taken in February and was claimed to be a rare glimpse into their secret affair.
Meanwhile, Foxx is set to star in "Mean Business On North Ganson Street" and "The Trap." In 2014, he starred in "Rio 2," "The Amazing Spider-Man 2," "A Million Ways To Die In The West," "Horrible Bosses 2" and "Annie."
On the other hand, Holmes will star in 2015 films "Woman In Gold" and "Mania Days." She appeared in 2014 films "The Giver," "Miss Meadows" and "Days And Nights."
As for Cruise, his film "Mission: Impossible 5" is about to be released. It has also been announced that he will star in "Top Gun 2" and "Jack Reacher: Never Go Back."
Holmes and Cruise started dating in 2005 and got married in a Scientologist ceremony in Italy. After five years of marriage, Holmes filed for divorce. On July 9, 2012, the two signed a divorce settlement with Holmes having the custody of their daughter Suri.
