Tabata added that he and Square Enix will be also looking into the upgraded versions of Sony and Microsoft consoles, namely the PS4 Neo and Xbox Scorpio, although Tabata admitted that he just heard of the new Xbox device and has not have plans for it, yet he is interested in it capacity and performance and will someday put "Final Fantasy XV" in it soon, Kotaku reported.
In other news, Square Enix showcased new gameplay features for "Final Fantasy XV" as the game producers explained the new combat features and weapons for the game.
Gamers can summon beings called Astrals to battle and the only way to do so is to "exhibit" Noctis' strength to them such as fighting them as seen in the "Trial of Titan" gameplay demo during the E3 2016 event. Once accomplished, Noctis can summon them anythime during a battle.
There is a new game feature called "Guard Mode" as it allows Noctis to dodge attacks and if the gamer acquired an "Evade" skill, they will be able evade attacks while in Guard Mode and when properly timed, evading an enemy’s attack will both avoid a hit and trigger a “Just Guard”.
Gamers can parry attacks from Guard Mode and if timed correctly Noctis can perform counter attacks on them. It can also trigger a "Link Attack" allowing a team up attack with Noctis' friends Prompto, Ignis and Gladiolus. There is also a "Back Link Attack" which allows Noctis' friends to attack from behind an enemy, dealing extra damage to them.
Noctis will have an ability called "Shift" to warp into different places and avoid enemy attacks. This skill will allow Noctis to heal and recover MP when using it.
"Final Fantasy XV" will feature a variety of weapons that Noctis used in battle such as Spears, Shields, One-handed swords, Daggers, Great swords, Shurikens and magic.
The sequel will also have numerous side quests and "monster subjugation missions" in order to earn money within "Final Fantasy XV". Tabata stated that main story will take only 40-50 hours to finish and the side quest and activities will give an additional 100 hours, resulting to 200 hours of game time.
Camping in "Final Fantasy XV" will have each character gain their XP for the day and level up in unlock skills and abilities. Ignis will cook food for the team and it will replenish their healths, VG 24/7 reported. Other features fast travel using the car Regalia and its flight mode, Chocobos and even riding boats and ferry rides.
"Final Fantasy XV" will launch on Sept. 30 for the PS4 and Xbox One consoles.
