The latest details for the new "Spider-Man" PS4 video game will feature Norman Osborn and Mister Negative possibly added to the game, PS4 Neo compatibility and tie-ins on "Spider-Man: Homecoming" film.
Marvel and Insomniac Games introduced a new "Spider-Man" video game for the PlayStation 4 as gamers saw the return of their favorite wall-crawler complete with a new costume, new gameplay features and new enemies to fight around.
The new "Spider-Man" PS4 video game will feature more acrobatic and parkour gameplay styles that enables everyone to experience the world of Spider-Man through explosive environments and intense combat situations. As seen in the trailer, the graphics of the new "Spider-Man" game is very impressive from Spider-Man's appearance and city settings to the fluidity of each of Spidey's actions and gameplay as gamers are wondering if they used a new game software or the Sony's new console the PlayStation 4 Neo in the trailer.
However, Sony and Marvel confirmed that in-game engine that was used to the developed the "Spider-Man" game and trailer were used in the current PS4 console and not PS4 Neo, but this will not stop gamers into believing the possibility that the game could be included in the upgraded console soon, SegmentNext reported.
Marvel stated that the future of "Spider-Man"games lies on their collaboration with both Sony and Insomniac Games. Marvel Games Director Bill Rosemann praised Insomniac for not just being a world class video game developers that makes phenomenal story-driven experiences, but for making games with humor and fun similar to the mindset of the web-slinger.
Rosemann added that they have chose the PS4 console because they felt that the console is one of the most exciting game platforms ever today and cited their amazing line-ups of first party titles and a community of the most passionate gamers in the world.
In other news, it seems that two characters will be featured in the new "Spider-Man" title for the PS4 as Norman Osborn and Mister Negative are being teased in the game.
Several easter eggs have been featured in the "Spider-Man" PS4 trailer as eagle eyed fans saw a billboard of Osborn during Spider-Man web swinging sequence and no that Norman Osborn or his son Harry will be making an appearance. Norman Osborn is famously known as Spider-Man's arch-nemesis the Green Goblin and has tormented Peter's life even since, including being responsible for Gwen Stacy's death. Harry Osborn also became Norman's successor as the Green Goblin as he is after Spidey as revenge for killing his father.
As for Mister Negative, the bad guys that Spider-Man fought in the trailer are wearing distinctive masks that are associated to his gang. Mister Negative is one villains of Spider-Man in the comics who has the ability change his appearance that resembles a photographic negative giving him super strength, can corrupt everyone by touching them and even cure them of their illness, WCCFTech reported.
Lastly, Marvel has been confirmed that the new "Spider-Man" game will tie-in with Marvel Studios "Spider-Man: Homecoming" as they are not going to develop new Marvel games based on movies.
Sony and Marvel has not yet announced a release date of "Spider-Man" for the PlayStation 4 and gaming and Marvel fans will eager to know more game details soon.
