New details on the new "Spider-Man" video game for the PlayStation 4 will feature an open world gameplay, parkour skills and Mister Negative as the main villain in the game.
It was during this weeks Electronic Entertainment Expo that Sony Interactive Entertainment and Marvel showcased a new "Spider-Man" video game for the PlayStation 4 and is developed by Insomniac Games along with a tease trailer of the game.
The E3 2016 teasers Peter Parker/Spider-Man sporting a new costume as well several gameplays that features impressive acrobatic and parkour skills, as well as explosive environments and intense combat. Marvel Games Director Bill Rosemann explained his reason why they have chose Insomniac Games to develop the new "Spider-Man" games as he praised them for not just being a world class video game developers that makes phenomenal story-driven experiences, but for making games with humor and fun similar to the mindset of the web-slinger.
Rosemann added that they have chose the PS4 console because they felt that console is one of the most exciting game platforms ever today and commented on the amazing line-ups of first party titles and a community of the most passionate gamers in the world.
The new "Spider-Man" video game will not be tied-in to the new film, "Spider-Man: Homecoming" as it will feature an original story and a seasoned Peter Parker. Rosemann along with creative director Bryan Intihar stated that the game will feature an open-world gameplay and gamers expect to play not just Spidey, but Peter Parker as well, PlayStationLifeStyle reported.
There are aslo environment usage in combat and blockbuster set-pieces that Insomniac Games will showcase soon.
As for the possible villain in the "Spider-Man" game, it is speculated that the criminals Spidey apprehends are part of Mister Negatives' gang due to the distinct masks they are wearing, The BitBag reported. Mister Negative is one villains of Spider-Man in the comics who has the ability change his appearance that resembles a photographic negative giving him super strength, can corrupt everyone by touching them and even cure them of their illness.
For now, Sony and Marvel has not yet announced a release date of "Spider-Man" for the PlayStation 4 and gaming and Marvel fans will eager to know more game details soon.
