New "Final Fantasy XV" details will feature a possible development of the PC version, the story modes length and two new gameplay footages.
Square Enix showcased new details for "Final Fantasy XV" during the Electronic Entertainment Expo event last week, which includes a new gameplay demo called "Trial of Titan", a new game trailer and episode 2 of "Brotherhood: Final Fantasy XV" were Promptois the main focus.
Now game director Hajime Tabata weighs in on the possible development of "Final Fantasy XV" into the PC platform as he told Kotaku that they are still thinking about the game beinv ported to the PC as he stated before that their top priority is to launch the game in the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One consoles on September and made it clear that they will do whatever they can to release them in time.
Square Enix is currently making the final touches to "Final Fantasy XV" as they are polishing and optimizing the game, as well as tweaking the UI even further. Tabata added that it would be "quite easy" to chop off some pieces of "Final Fantasy XV" or scale it back in some areas to speed up the polish and optimization processes, Square Enix is unwilling to do so.
Tabata teased before that the PC version will have features that will not be present in the console versions due to their limitations. Square Enix plans on developing the PC version of "Final Fantasy XV" from scratch with more research and testing out new specifications that might surpass the console versions.
In addition, Square Enix is also looking into the "PlayStation 4 Neo" as well as Microsoft's new console project code named "Scorpio" for "Final Fantasy XV".
In other news, it seems that length of "Final Fantasy XV's" story mode has been revealed as Tabata stated that gamers will take them about 40-50 hours of gameplay at the very least.
Tabada added that gamers will have an extra set of hours playing the game through side quests and activities for another 100 hours, thus resulting in 200 hours of gameplay in "Final Fantasy XV", Gamerant reported.
Lastly, two new gameplay footages features the city of Altissia and the Regalia transforming into an airship. Altissia is one of the largest cities ever featured in "Final Fantasy XV" as the landscape and buildings are based on Venice, Italy. The city will feature several shops and activities such as seeing the coliseum and ferry rides. Gamers can also do bounties to earn extra cash.
The second gameplay footage sees the Regalia transforming into an airship for fast travels. Gamers can pilot the Regalia anywhere, but gamers must be careful when landing the Regalia as one bad landing will result not just damaging the car, but instant death in the game.
"Final Fantasy XV" will launch on Sept. 30 for the PS4 and Xbox One consoles.
