"Tekken" 7 release date is slated for early 2017 on Steam.

New details for "Tekken 7" will feature a possible cross-platform gameplay between the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions, interactive cutscenes and "Power Crush" features.

Bandai Namco announced several new game features for "Tekken 7" as game director Katsuhiro Harada revealed that the sequel will feature an interactive cutscenes between characters similar to that of NetherRealm Studios produced "Mortal Kombat X".

Harada added that there will be a combo of dynamic weather and destructive environments, as well as the battle slowing down when the character's health is low causing a dramatic final blow. Harada explained that they wanted to add extra intensity to the battle without taking the player away from the fight at the same time make the sequel more fun to watch for them and the other players.

Bandai Namco also revealed the challenge that gamers will be face when using Akuma in "Tekken 7" as he will brng his entire arsenal of moves from "Street Fighter" against the likes of Kazuya and Heihachi into the sequel. Harada stated that most gamers think that it will be difficult for them to face Akuma in battle such as projectile attacks, but Harada explained that they need ot worry about Akuma as gamers can just side step to avoid it and some of the characters in "Tekken 7" have projectiles as well.

Harada added that difficult thing about adding Akuma to the roster is that his gameplay style is that of 2D in "Street Fighter" so they had to find away to have his moves match with a 3D gameplay environment so that he can keep up with the characters in "Tekken 7".

There is also a new gameplay features called "Power Crush", which allows gamers to perform damages and complete their combo even if they are taking damage as well, SegmentNext reported.

In other news, several rumors are making rounds regarding a possible cross-platform gameplay between the PS4 and Xbox One versions of "Tekken 7".

Harada posted Reddit the idea of the cross-platform plans for "Tekken 7" as he explained that it will not be very difficult to do and it was in board for consideration.

However, there are some steps in which game developers must discuss first before they make their decisions. First is that Sony and Microsoft must be willing to let that happen. While Microsoft is somewhat okay with the idea, Sony on the other hand is mum about it and it will not be long before the competitiveness cools off to benefit the players.

The second concern will be the inclusion of the PC platform to the feature since Bandai Namco already confirmed a PC version for "Tekken 7". According to Harada, crossplay with PC is much easier than doing it in the consoles. But, it also presents a problem as cheaters can create loopholes that can ruin video game experience to the gamers. Harada stated that it will be up to the gaming community to decide if they want to go through with crossplay between both consoles and PC platform.

"Tekken 7" will launch in early 2017 for the PS4, Xbox One and the PC platform.
