New details for "Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2" will feature "Dragon Ball Super" as future DLCs and a new protagonist and Cooler added to the sequel.
Game producer Masaki Hirano revealed several new details for "Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2" during several interviews from various video game websites during this year's Electronic Entertainment Expo as Hirano teased that the sequel will feature content from the latest anime series, "Dragon Ball Super".
Bandai Namco hinted that they might be adding "Dragon Ball Super" characters and storyline before "Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2's" release date or after since Hirano explained that the anime series is still ongoing. Hirano added that he and Bandai Namco are planning to support the game by having free game updates and even paid DLC in the future as gamers will likely look forward to having content from "Dragon Ball Super" soon, Siliconera reported.
"Dragon Ball Super" is currently in the new arc called "Future Trunks" saga were in Son Goku, Vegta and other Z warriors are joined by the returning Future Trunks to face a new enemy called Black/Black Goku.
In other news, two new characters are introduced in "Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2" as several images for the sequel have leaked online.
The sequel will feature a new protagonist joining the the previous hero from the first Xenoverse game, Time Patrol Trunks, Old Kai and Supreme Kai of Time in a new hub city called Conton City. The new hero sports a black and white jacket, jeans, boots, a visor like scouter and having blue hair.
There is also a new villain added to the game as Namek levels will feature Frieza's older brother Cooler both in his base and final forms. The scans also features the return of first game's antagonist Demigra corrupting Piccolo, Saiyan Island reported.
Bandai Namco featured two characters in "Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2's" new gameplay in E3 2016, namely Future Gohan and Turles. Conton City will be seven times bigger than Tokitoki City as it can support more than 300 players and everyone can now fly from different places. The is also a new transportation system introduced in the sequel for fast travel.
New combat changes are featured in "Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2" will have Ki blast curving through the air as players fly towards their opponent. There will be new dash moves called "Homing Dash" that allows them to quickly move towards opponents and "Aura Burst Dash" that dodges opponents Ki blasts.
Hirano added that new details for "Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2" will be presented at Japan Expo 2016 on July 7-10 in Paris, France.
"Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2" will be release sometime this year for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and for the PC.
